Sexism and gender discrimination
Sexism and gender discrimination is discrimination toward or against a
person of a certain group based upon that person's sex or gender. In the
same instance, that person would not have been discriminated against if
the person had been of another sex or gender. Sexual discrimination is
illegal and a form of prejudice. Transgender individuals experience
discrimination which may lead to dismissals, underachievement, and
difficulty in finding a job, social isolation, bullying and physical and
verbal attacks.
