Gender and sexual orientation
A person's gender has been used as an important predictor of his/ her
abilities and interests. It is assumed that if we know the person's
gender, we know a lot about him/her. However, this assumption is
incorrect and a poor predictor of academic skills, interests or
emotional characteristics. It could be said that females and males are
more alike than different.
